The Jambu Tree (જાંબુનું વૃક્ષ)

This Jambu tree is located in Anand Tarvadi’s orchard in the village of Pirojpur.

Once, Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj came to this place with His elder brother, Rampratap Bhai, and His other childhood companions to eat the ripe fruits of the Jambu tree.

Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj climbed the tree and began shaking its branches, causing both ripe and unripe fruits to fall to the ground. At that moment, the caretaker of the Jambu tree suddenly arrived, causing Rampratap Bhai and the other companions to run away.

Seeing Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj alone, the caretaker became extremely angry with Him and forcefully grabbed His arm.

Bal Ghanshyam gave such a powerful jerk with His hand that the caretaker became dizzy and fell to the ground. His arm was broken.

This Jambu tree is a sacred place, preserved as a divine remembrance of the childhood pastime of Shri Hari.

આ જાંબુનું વૃક્ષ પીરોજપુર ગામે આનંદ તરવાડીની વાડીમાં આવેલું છે.

એકવાર શ્રી ઘનશ્યામ મહારાજ તેમના મોટાભાઈ રામપ્રતાપભાઈ તથા અન્ય મિત્રો સાથે આ જગ્યાએ જાંબુડાનાં પાકાં ફળો ખાવા માટે આવ્યા હતા.

શ્રી ઘનશ્યામ મહારાજ વૃક્ષ પર ચઢીને વૃક્ષ હલાવીને કાચાં-પાકાં ફળો નીચે પાડી રહ્યા હતા, એવામાં અચાનક જ આ જાંબુડાનો રખેવાળ આવી જતાં રામપ્રતાપભાઈ અને અન્ય સખાઓ ભાગી ગયા.

શ્રી ઘનશ્યામ મહારાજને એકલાં જ જોઈ રખેવાળે તેમના પર ભારે ગુસ્સો કર્યો અને શ્રી ઘનશ્યામ મહારાજનું બાવડું જોરથી પકડી લીધું.

શ્રી બાળ ઘનશ્યામે પોતાના હાથને એવો તો ઝાટકો માર્યો કે રખેવાળ ચક્કર ખાઈને જમીન પર પટકાઈને પડી ગયો. એનો હાથ ભાંગી ગયો.

શ્રી હરિની લીલા-સ્મૃતિરૂપ પ્રસાદીનું આ જાંબુડાનું ઝાડ છે.
